Bonver acquires ODS Business Services Scandinavia

Bonver Logistics, the Nordic region's largest distributor of home entertainment products, has acquired ODS Business Services Scandinavia AB, the subsidiary from the now-bankrupt ODS Group.

Based in Stockholm with some 70 employees, ODS offers services within video distribution and delivers products to approximately 4,500 retailers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, as well as services within packaging, storage, customer support and cash collection. Key customers in the Nordic market are Universal Pictures and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

"ODS business fits very well into Bonver Logistic´s vision to offer a full service solution for home entertainment products. In a mature market we believe that there will be an increasing demand for shared services to be able to continue working with cost reductions and high service. This acquisition is a natural step in an ongoing consolidation in our market," says Dan Sivervik, Managing Director, Bonver Logistics.

Approximately 50% of all video in the Nordic countries is distributed by Bonver Logistics. Clients include Paramount Home Entertainment (including Dreamworks), SF Video (including 20th Century Fox and Metro Goldwyn Mayer), Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, Warner Bros Entertainment (including Sandrew Metronome) and Elkjöp.
