Following
its recent move to new offices in Soho (London) within Goldcrest Postproduction
facilities, high-end DVD design and production house The Pavement
is launching two new Blu-ray services – Blu-ray Video Encoding
and Wam!Net delivery services.
“After 3 months of intensive testing, we have invested in both
Thomson's NexCode and Sonic Cinevision encoders which produce the
best pictures we have seen for all content type,” says Andy
Evans, the company director. “Whether the masters are on HDCAM
SR, HDCAM or any other HD format, we will deliver back to our clients
the best possible picture from the best equipment available. Clients
can then author their own Blu-ray disc, or as a content owner they
can deliver to the C&A house of their choice a top quality HD
picture.
“In
the age of piracy, tighter deadlines, carbon footprints, budgets and
increases in data to ship, we have opened up our W!N delivery for
all,” Evans continues. “Whether clients have a Blu-ray
or DVD disc image, we can digitally send it to replicators in the
most secure way possible. With guaranteed data integrity, speed, peace
of mind, we've found that W!N is the best delivery solution –
plus it's Green.”
The Pavement has also announced the appointment of Lawrence Francis
(pictured) in the role of Business Development Manager. Francis, who
was previously Sales & Marketing Manager at Indie Phoenix Film
& Television, will be focused on developing The Pavement’s
DVD, Blu-Ray and graphics production services Angel.
