Belgium custom officials have seized 50,000 DVDs of Indian films worth Rs16.5 million (€246,000) at Brussels airport. Acting on a tip-off by the Shemaroo Entertainment with the local distributor and Stitching Indian Films and Music (SIFAM), officials seized the consignment of DVDs at the airport Friday.

French police have raided a store in Paris that sold large amounts of counterfeit Bollywood music and films, and one man was arrested. They seized an estimated 3,000 pirate CDs and more than 200,000 counterfeit DVDs manufactured in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.

A DVD counterfeiting duo in London have been sentenced to a total of four years and six months for running an illegal factory worth £5 million a year. Polish border guards catch disc smugglers
Polish border police recently carried out a raid in which they arrested eight people involved in the smuggling and manufacture of pirate CDs and DVDs. During the raid around 66,000 CDs, DVDs, CD-Rs and DVD-Rs and 108,000 inlay cards were seized, along with counterfeit inlays and packaging.
